Now that the Christmas bows and presents have been unwrapped, and we've all enjoyed our Christmas, it's time to ring in 2021. No matter who we were fortunate enough to be with, whether it's by ourselves or with our families, we have made it through another year.
Now it's New Year's Eve, and normally parties and gatherings are allowed, but in this world of COVID-19 and uncertainty, we should be aware of our restrictions no matter where we are in the world. After all, this virus isn't going to go away unless we all do our part and follow the rules.
My New Year's Eve is going to be spent with my housemates at Rudd House. We're all going in on Chinese food and plan to have a good time. Perhaps we can watch the ball drop at 9 in Toronto.
My sister has her own way of celebrating. They are going to have a quiet fondue party with just the four of them. My friend in Florida is going to eat Thai food, drink some beer, and stay with her dogs.
The bottom line is that I hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and prosperous new year. Cheers to another year; hopefully, it's way better than this last one.
